The Franco-German Master’s degree in “Empirical Political and Social Research” continues the Franco-German BA degree in “Social Sciences”. The Institute for Social Sciences at the University of Stuttgart offers it together with Sciences Po Bordeaux .
The master’s degree leads to a German and a French degree. It is available in two variants: as a research-oriented MA, in which both years of study are spent in Stuttgart, and as a practice-oriented MA, in which the first year of study in Stuttgart and the second at Sciences Po Bordeaux (including a compulsory internship). Both variants also offer a wide range of options for stays in third countries.

Admission with conditions

The final decision as to whether your professional aptitude is recognized as sufficient is made by the admissions committee .
Graduated from a university of applied sciences
A degree from a university of applied sciences (formerly a university of applied sciences) or the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University basically entitles you to study for a master’s degree at a university, according to the State University Act.
Admission restriction (NC)
In master’s courses in which the number of study places is limited (Numerus Clausus (NC)), ranking lists are created for the allocation of study places based on the criteria that are a prerequisite for admission to the master’s course.
