Food chemistry is a chemical discipline that is committed to consumer protection and contributes to the safe handling of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other consumer goods. In addition to food inspection and control, the subject also deals with feed safety and issues of nutrition and health.

In the bachelor's degree, you acquire the basics of mathematics, physics and chemistry as well as a modern and broad-based basic education in food chemistry, which includes the interfaces between chemistry and the life sciences. Practical exercises in the laboratory also make a significant contribution to methodological and problem-solving skills, especially in the area of ??analytical investigations.

The study of food chemistry is offered by the University of Stuttgart in cooperation with the University of Hohenheim. The application is made via the University of Stuttgart.
