Students of the research-oriented master's degree in microbiology complete compulsory training in the areas of: general and applied microbiology, medical and pharmaceutical microbiology, virology and agricultural and food microbiology.
The course is characterized by a high proportion of practical work and independent project work. All microbiological systems are treated from a biochemical, systematic, physiological, molecular biological and genetic point of view. The key qualifications taught also include the independent conception and implementation of scientific studies as well as the documentation and presentation of scientific results in spoken and written (also in English). The course enables microbiological and molecular genetic work in all professional fields of classical, molecular and applied microbiology.
