The master’s degree in Mathematics enables students to acquire comprehensive scientific knowledge in a major area of ??mathematics. The following areas are available: "Algebra, Number Theory and Logic", "Analysis and Differential Equations", "Discrete Mathematics", "Geometry and Topology", "Numerics and Scientific Computing" and "Probability Theory and Stochastic Analysis".
In addition to introductory lecture modules, it is also possible to take advanced master’s lectures in other mathematical areas. Mathematical topics are presented in lectures in special graduate seminars. Practical experience can be gained through, for example, tutor internships, industrial internships or programming projects. Students who are interested in applications of mathematics in other sciences have the option of choosing modules from a minor subject.
