Overview

The Philosophy course offers the opportunity to deepen and specialize knowledge in the fields of the history of philosophy and contemporary philosophy as well as theoretical and practical philosophy in a research-oriented manner. In addition, individual focuses can be set in a wide range of topics from logic and epistemology to metaphysics and philosophy of religion, (applied) ethics, natural and cultural philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of mind and philosophy of language.

The students are enabled to classify acquired knowledge in current theories and discourses of the subject and to critically question historical positions. You benefit from the large number and diversity as well as from the interdisciplinary links between the chairs, which represent the entire breadth of philosophical teaching and research.

Minimum grade 3.0 or country-specific equivalent
Specific modules: Basics of theoretical OR practical philosophy (6 ECTS) | Basics of the History of Philosophy (6 ECTS)
