The Old Catholic and Ecumenical Theology course, which is open to students of all faiths, deepens insights into Old Catholic theology and combines these with ecumenical-theological and interreligious issues. Accordingly, old Catholic, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican lecturers contribute to the range of courses at the Old Catholic Seminar - the only one in Germany in the university sector. Courses on Judeo-Christian and Muslim-Christian dialogue complete the program.

The focus is on the practical orientation of the course, whose lecturers are active in both church and non-church professional fields. In addition, the International Old Catholic Theologian Conference, which is integrated into the curriculum and also takes place regularly as a joint Anglican-Old Catholic theologian conference, offers students the opportunity to network with theologians from Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic.
