The international course in German-Italian Studies / Studi Italo-Tedeschi at the Universities of Bonn and Florence (Università degli Studi di Firenze) follows on from the international Bachelor course of the same name. The research-oriented master’s degree in particular deepens technical knowledge, supplements knowledge with interdisciplinary aspects and expands theoretical and methodological skills.
With the binational cultural studies focus on Germany and Italy, the main focus of study is on the main subjects Italian and German studies, each of which includes linguistic, literary, cultural and media studies subjects. Both the cultural and literary history of Germany and Italy to the present day as well as the investigation of language development and the current language structure are contents of the course. In addition, students can take modules from political science / sociology or art history in the compulsory elective area. The master’s course includes at least one semester abroad at the Università degli Studi di Firenzi with the possibility of simultaneously acquiring the Master of Arts and the Italian Laurea Magistrale.
