The Chinese subsidiary subject is linguistically oriented. It enables a well-founded basic training in modern high-level Chinese. The training is completed by taking the compulsory modules in the core subject Asian Studies, Sinology profile.

The accompanying subject can also be combined as an option from the language courses offered by the Institute for Oriental and Asian Studies with the core subject Asian Studies: Profile Art History in Asia and the Orient.
