Overview

The course "German-French Studies (DFS) / Etudes franco-allemandes (EFA)" with a binational double degree is designed for interculturality and European competence and serves to deepen German-French relations. It consists of the two main subjects French and German, which are studied in parallel and to the same extent. Cultural, literary and linguistic content is conveyed in both French and German studies. In addition to the historical development of the respective language and its current importance, the history of the respective country and the literature of the respective language area are considered. In addition, in-depth knowledge of Franco-German cultural transfer in the past and present is imparted.

A deepening of the language practice in French as well as the comparison of the two languages ??are also contents of the course. In cooperation with the University of Paris (Sorbonne Université), a two-semester study visit takes place in the other country. The course contents of both universities are specifically coordinated so that a flawless course of study is guaranteed. In addition, an internship related to France will be completed.

Successful participation in an aptitude test is mandatory for commencement of studies.
