The Master of Science Geodesy and Geoinformation course deepens and expands the knowledge and skills in the field of surveying by choosing a focus in a sub-area of ??the subject. A wide range of subject areas in the elective area can be used to set additional individual accents in the course. A mentor system serves as a supervisory support when creating the individual study plans.
During the studies, stays abroad for study semesters or to work on the master’s thesis are welcomed by the department.
Geodesy (surveying) can be roughly divided into three specialist areas: engineering, state and cadastral or property surveying. In addition to working at the desk, on-site and external appointments are therefore part of the work of surveyors.
In addition, they are involved in the development of modern geographic information or satellite navigation systems. There is a strong connection to information technology here.
