The Master of Arts in Technology and Philosophy course is aimed at graduates in engineering, natural sciences and mathematics and offers an expansion of their range of skills. The aim is to master central content and theoretical approaches in the fields of technology theory, technology philosophy and technology ethics in a systematic and historical manner as well as a scientifically sound understanding of questions of technology design with its social and ecological implications.
The course offers a professional qualification for different areas: e.g. technology and research policy, science administration, technology assessment, planning and administration at federal, state and local level, publishing, media, advisory work, e.g. in ethics committees.
It is therefore important, in addition to studying, to gain practical experience in relevant institutions at an early stage, to prove one's general suitability for practice and to establish contacts. The prospect of a good position is increased by the willingness to move professionally, also abroad. A good command of the English language is particularly recommended if you have an international focus.
