Managed by the College Board, SAT test is regulated at around 53 institutes spread across 30 cities of India. With such a wide coverage, there still exists lag in booking test centers as the test ihappens once a month. Since the number of students are increasing every year, the test requires its aspirants to apply almost a month in advance.

Though there is always a late deadline available for the application, it is always recommended to apply on time to avoid any hassles at the last moment. Items allowed in the SAT Test Centres:

  • Admission Hall Ticket
  • ID Poof with Photograph
  • Stationery: No. 2 Pencil (Suggested Quantity: 2) and Erasers
  • Calculator (approved by the authorities)
  • Auto-injectors: Epinephrine (such as EpiPens)

These above items are mandatory to be carried in a clear (see-through) bag. The test centres have desks with drawers, where the students can place their bags. Please make sure to cross-check the availability of your nearest test centre before choosing from the multiple SAT Exam Dates.

SAT Test Centres FAQs

Q. How I will know whether my SAT test center is open or closed?

A. University Board will email you if your exam center has been closed. You can also contact the test center directly and know whether they are open or not for the exam on the given date. 

Q. What happens if my test center is closed and the test is cancelled by their end?

A. In  case your exam is cancelled by the test centre than the test fee will be refunded. University  Board will also arrange to reschedule the SAT test later either in that test center or any other test center located nearby. You can check for another date for registration.

Q. What to do if I am not sure whether my test will be conducted or not?

A. Even then make sure to Follow your regular routine and prepare according to the test date only. Also remember to Check your email before two days of the test and also if possible contact your exam center and confirm whether the test is going to be conducted or not.

Q. Are students allowed to take the SAT at any other test center on the same day?

A. No, as per the rule the student has already registered for a particular test center and there is no walk-in, so, you need to give SAT at your test center only where you have booked the slot.
