The master’s course “Postgraduate Course Fundamentals of German Law” is aimed at students who have already acquired knowledge from studying law abroad. They should be brought closer to the German legal system. Not only do they get an insight into the subject, but they can also choose their own focus. The aim of the course is to impart knowledge of German law. With this knowledge, the graduates have an initial introduction to German legal matters.

The master’s program consists of subjects from the three basic areas of civil law, criminal law and public law. In these three basic areas - within the scope of the local possibilities - you can set priorities according to your own interests. In addition, the master's student has to write a master's thesis (approx. 50 - 70 pages). After successfully completing the master’s thesis and the oral master’s examination, the master’s student will be awarded the title Master of Laws - postgraduate course Basics of German Law by the master’s representative of the department.
