The master’s course is a consecutive course for students with a bachelor’s degree in social science or economics.
In the process of internationalization, political and economic aspects are closely interlinked. For example, within the framework of European integration, economic interdependence, political cooperation and the legal protection (communitisation) of regulatory areas are often directly related to one another. In addition, there are also many other forms of political, economic and legal integration processes in global space. The focus of the course is therefore on the mutual relationships and forms of communication between economic, political and legal aspects of international integration and disintegration, as well as other forms of thematically relevant political, economic and legal processes in the global space.

  • Acquisition of subject-specific knowledge about the process of international integration / disintegration and other forms of political, economic and legal processes in global space from an interdisciplinary perspective;
  • Training of analytical skills in order to be able to systematically and exemplarily identify the points of contact and intersection of economic, political and legal forms of integration;
  • Analysis and evaluation of the - partly contradicting, partly complementary - course of international integration / disintegration and the economic, political and legal aspects of globalization.

In the first semester you will acquire important basics in subjects that were not the focus of your first degree and then specialize in relevant areas in the disciplines of economics or political science. Part of the program is also a research-oriented college and an international internship.

Proof of completion of a relevant bachelor's degree with an overall rating of “satisfactory” (3.0) or 7.9 grade points or better in the field of economics or political science or proof of a comparable domestic or foreign professional university degree.

In the completed course of study, sufficient skills in basic economic or political science knowledge must also be proven. These are available if the corresponding degree contains at least 60 credit points either in economics or political science subjects.
