The teaching-related bachelor's degree in art for secondary level I and II includes well-founded subject-specific skills in the artistic-aesthetic field (art practice), in the field of art theory and history as well as in the field of art education and didactics. You will get fundamental insights into the historicity and phenomena, concepts and functions of art and other visual media and acquire knowledge of selected methods of analyzing works of art and visual media.

During your studies you have the opportunity to deepen and expand your personal repertoire of technical and media forms of artistic expression. Based on the specialist knowledge acquired, you will be able to reflect on your own artistic practice, locate it in cultural contexts and relate it to art-pedagogical learning and educational processes. In addition, you will be given basic knowledge of the specific aesthetics of child and youth culture as well as their development, analysis and origins.
