Immunology as the key to better health - that is the motto for research into the immune system and its connection with other systems, such as the metabolic system, the nervous system and its close connection with human health and various diseases.
The Medical Immunosciences and Infection course deals with immunological topics from a medical perspective. The main goal of the research-oriented, international degree program is training for a future career in medical research. In terms of content, the course focuses on the underlying mechanisms and treatment of immune-mediated, inflammatory and infectious diseases. Students receive specific knowledge in the areas of translational, immunological and infectiological research. Current concepts in immunology and infection research are discussed in literature seminars and applied by the students directly to their research projects. An individual focus is made possible by elective modules.
Medical and biomedical basic research (e.g. Max Planck Institute), development / production / marketing (industry), molecular diagnostics (for medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnical, environmental, forensic issues; in clinical disciplines (e.g. neurology, dermatology, oncology, pediatrics) , Science (teaching / research at universities, research institutions, etc.)
