In the broadest sense, the field of agricultural sciences includes all disciplines that deal with questions relating to the primary production of human and animal food as well as renewable raw materials.
The agricultural sciences at the University of Bonn are a highly efficient and research-intensive branch of science. In addition to the original core area - the sustainable production of healthy and high quality food and feed as well as "renewable" raw materials - further scientific, technical, economic, ecological and social problems relating to agricultural products and the rural areas here and around the world.
