Economics examines fundamental economic relationships and laws in a society, both in relation to individual economic units (microeconomics) and macroeconomic (macroeconomics).
It is part of the economic sciences, which also includes business administration, which deals with the economic relationships and laws of individual companies and provides insights into operational structures and processes. The Economics course primarily teaches fundamental and in-depth specialist knowledge and methods of economics, but also aspects of business administration relevant to economic analyzes (investment, financing, theory of the company). In addition, there are quantitative methods (mathematics for economists, statistics, econometrics) with the help of which economic relationships are analyzed and presented.
The course should enable students to recognize economic connections in their breadth, to work on economic problems with the help of suitable methods and to subject their consequences to a critical assessment.
