The accompanying subject Vietnamese (Ti?ng Vi?t) conveys the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in three basic modules. Vietnamese is the national language of Vietnam and is spoken by around 85 million people as their mother tongue, making it the most important language in mainland Southeast Asia. Linguistically, Vietnamese, a tonal and monosyllabic language, is assigned to the Mon-Khmer languages ??within the Austro-Asian language.
The accompanying subject introduces the basics of grammar and the basic skills required for language acquisition, which enable direct application in everyday communication. At higher levels, students are prepared for reading of a technical and scientific nature, which is necessary for an understanding of the spiritual life in Vietnam.
