All industrial engineering courses at TU Darmstadt are characterized by their strong interdisciplinarity . They contain almost the same proportions from economics (business and economics) and law on the one hand and engineering on the other.
The master’s courses in industrial engineering differ from the pure engineering courses in that they do not specialize in engineering. In terms of their technical subject, the students of industrial engineering attend the same events as the students of the corresponding purely technical master’s degree programs.
During the course of studies, stays abroad for entire semesters are possible.
Industrial engineers have a wide range of professional opportunities. Their knowledge and skills are particularly in demand wherever technical and commercial areas of work meet. Graduates of the study industrial engineering - technical field of electrical engineering and information technology will find information regarding employment in the electrical industry, for energy suppliers, with companies in the communications technology and consulting firms.
