The more research-oriented Master of Science Autonomous Systems course is almost unique in Germany and deepens the IT and engineering skills and mathematical and scientific knowledge acquired in the Bachelor’s course. This specialized master’s degree focuses on the basics and applications of technical autonomous systems, for example intelligent robots, characterized by different sensor-based perception and actuator-based physical interaction skills. Their performance is based on a variety of methods from different disciplines (with a focus on computer science), which are implemented in powerful, complex software systems.
Graduates of the Autonomous Systems master’s course are looking forward to an innovative and promising job market with diverse perspectives in industry, business and research. You can work as development engineers or software developers in research institutions or in the areas of research, development and application of technical autonomous systems in companies.
In addition to studying, it is important to gain your own practical experience in relevant institutions at an early stage, to prove your general suitability for practice and to establish contacts. The prospect of a good position is increased by the willingness to move professionally, also abroad. A good command of the English language is particularly recommended if you have an international focus.
