The Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Electrical Power Systems is a unique program conducted as a combination of two European high level universities well reputed in their specific fields. The German RWTH Aachen University holds one of the best faculties of electrical engineering worldwide and conducts the program’s engineering part. The Dutch Maastricht School of Management (MSM) has a worldwide reputation for its programs in business and management teaching.

Programme Structure

Students will spend one year (first and second semester) in Aachen and attend the courses in electrical engineering, as conducted by the faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of RWTH Aachen University.The third semester will be spent at Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. Students will be trained as managers with solid knowledge of the core management processes and a focus on sustainable development.Students pursue a master thesis in the fourth semester, either at the RWTH Aachen University or Maastricht School of Management.

  • First university degree, required qualifications according to the examination regulations
  • Proficiency in English

Career Prospects

After successfully completing the master's program, graduates of the program will have gained profound skills in management and engineering, being prepared for leading positions in industrial engineering companies. The M.Sc. also qualifies graduates for a further career path at universities, e.g. for PhD studies.
