The master's degree "Environmental Systems and Sustainability - Monitoring, Modeling and Management" is a postgraduate degree with a professional qualification and imparts knowledge and skills for independent scientific work in the areas of "Monitoring, Modeling and Management of Natural Systems" with a focus on the aspects of the global Change.
the functioning of natural systems (geosphere, pedosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere)
the causes of global change and its regional and global effects
the monitoring of the global change through, for example, detection of water, material, mass and energy fluxes at the land surface
the use and development of remote sensing techniques
the spatial and integrated modeling of natural systems
the programming and use of geographic information systems
the scenario-based, integrative analysis of the regional effects of global change
the development of options for action for sustainable environmental management
Professionally qualifying degree (at least 6 semesters) in geography or a related subject OR in the 6th semester of a bachelor's degree in geography with 120 ECTS points already achieved
