The first semester includes a project internship and is used to prepare a pilot's thesis in preparation for the master’s thesis. The second semester is intended for the master's thesis. The course is very research-oriented. It makes sense to choose a research topic before starting your studies and to write to a possible supervisor in advance.
The course is admission-free and requires "proof of special suitability". It is possible to start studies in the summer and winter semesters. The application is made via an application portal . The subject checks the technical suitability on the basis of the documents submitted (aptitude test). Enrollment in the degree program is only possible after receipt of the aptitude test.
For the master’s degree, you need good English skills, a completed bachelor’s degree in biology or in a closely related subject (biochemistry, natural sciences)
The master’s degree in biology leads to the advanced and professional degree Master of Science (MSc) in one year. It ideally prepares its graduates for a doctorate or, alternatively, for a responsible position in the professional world.
