In the further course of their studies, students can deepen the diverse facets of logistics management and choose individual focuses from the core areas of distribution, production, procurement and disposal logistics as well as from overarching and in-depth areas such as business process modeling and IT. The course offers a selection of current and highly exciting elective and specialization modules.
The practical semester provides an insight into the work of logistics in the company and is planned for the 6th semester. In this way, the theoretically acquired knowledge is applied in practice and you get a first insight into the diverse range of tasks. In this way, the decision for a specific field is encouraged during the course of study and prepared for the start of a career. It is particularly useful to think about the final bachelor thesis when choosing the internship semester place.
The preparation of the bachelor thesis is planned in the 7th semester. Topics often arise from practical work in the 6th semester or are developed together with the supervising professors, for example as part of research or industrial projects. Many companies offer you the opportunity to solve specific logistics problems and to present this in their bachelor theses. Please note the citation guidelines of your institute or the professors you supervise.

The terms production planner, logistics controller, supply chain project manager or manager operations include various bundles of tasks and job profiles in areas such as logistics and supply chain management, purchasing, production and sales.
