Overview

The aim is to convey the holistic and overarching perspective for the planning and execution of construction tasks. In addition to a comprehensive approach to complex construction tasks in integral project work and overarching teaching units, there is also an assigned specialist specialization in the three fields of study architecture, civil engineering and project management construction. The aim is to enable graduates to work in an integral, cooperative manner in architects and engineers as part of a team, as well as for overarching and interlinking ways of thinking and acting that construction requires today.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The master’s degree is modularized and integrates the three fields of study architecture, civil engineering and construction project management.

It consists of four roughly equal elements:

  • Integral project work (three modules)
  • Overarching modules
  • Advanced modules in the respective field of study
  • Master thesis and master colloquium

1st semester:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Successfully completed bachelor's degree (at least 180 credit points) or a diploma with a grade of 2.5 or better in the architecture, civil engineering, construction project management or a comparable degree. The examination board decides on exceptions.

CAREER PROSPECTS

After graduation, the graduates are able to work in a team to carry out tasks in the respective professional fields. For architects, this means planning buildings for different purposes and uses. Civil engineers are qualified to work in construction companies and planning offices or building administrations. Project managers find their area of ??activity, for example, in the area of ??project development at property development companies and institutions that handle projects that require comprehensive management services. Furthermore, the master’s degree serves to further academic qualification and opens up access to higher service.
