Overview

As a graduate of the Master’s program in International Business Management, you will have the ability to act in the internationalized and globalized business world, which is made up of the following fields of competence:

Technical competence
They have a broad and critical understanding of the current state of knowledge and scientific methods in the field of international general management in order to evaluate business alternatives and to develop, implement and evaluate concrete solutions to practical problems in an international context. This takes into account the requirements of the economy that on the one hand specialist knowledge is required at management level, but also that there must be a broad understanding of international business contexts.

methodical competence
You will apply your knowledge with the help of modern media and digital techniques, instruments and methods to familiar and new situations in the context of international general management in a practice-oriented manner. You also take interdisciplinary, social and ethical aspects into account. For example, after completing your studies, you can organize complex international projects and take on both a managerial and an advisory position. You are able to present confidently as well as moderate discussion forums.

Social competence
You understand and practice efficient forms of communication in international groups, have intercultural competence, are empathetic and able to work in a team, can design dynamic group development processes and manage conflicts. You are able to convince argumentatively, to delegate tasks and to involve team members in a goal-oriented manner in problem solving and decision-making.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Completed bachelor's degree in economics or a completed bachelor's degree in combined economics with at least an overall grade of 2.5 and

  • at least 30 ECTS from English-language Bachelor module examinations related to international business administration (without practical modules and Bachelor thesis)
  • or the bachelor thesis must deal with relevant international issues from business administration and / or be in English.
  • In addition, English B2 language level is desirable.

CAREER PROSPECTS

The course combines a scientific education and an application orientation that enables the students for management-related activities in international companies and organizations. This reference to the typical problems of companies and organizations results in a particularly pronounced professional qualification.

The successful completion of the Master’s degree in International Business Management gives you the opportunity to take on attractive, responsible specialist and management positions in industrial and service companies of various industries and sizes, as well as in public institutions on an international level. As a self-employed management consultant, you also have the opportunity to work in freelance professions.
