The master’s degree in design has four separate fields of study:
digital media and experiment, photography and image media, communication design, and fashion.
The course is shaped by the project that is an integral part of the master’s course from the time you apply. The project enables the differentiation of one's own creative position and handwriting and leads to the master's thesis, which is often created in cooperation with partners from art, culture, media and research.
During the master’s degree, theoretical discourse and individual scientific research on design topics are deepened. The main idea is to develop design and thought structures for artistic and creative work and the aesthetic challenges of future design.
Through excursions, exhibitions and internationally oriented events, the master’s students come into contact with agencies, studios and companies from home and abroad and can thus gather extensive practical knowledge.
The master’s degree can be completed in one field of study or can be made broader and more interdisciplinary by taking subjects in the other fields of study. Art and theory are the content of all four courses. In contrast to the three-semester course, the four-semester master’s course also includes a practical or internationalization semester.
