The advanced certificate course at master’s level is aimed at professionals who already have a first university degree and would like to open up new career prospects. The objective of the scientific advanced training offer is not only to impart in-depth and comprehensive knowledge in the field of labor law, but also to transfer knowledge of selected aspects of personnel management.
In addition to this professional further qualification, another focus of the certificate program is to strengthen the methodological and personal skills of the participants (scientific work, project coordination and conflict management).
The one-year certificate course in labor law and personnel management begins in the summer semester and ends with a university certificate. The course combines face-to-face events (on Saturdays) with extra-occupational self-study (study letters, online learning opportunities, scientific research, etc.) in a ratio of approx. 30:70 conveyed. In the presences, qualified lecturers offer in-depth exercises and seminars. All modules can be completed by exams. At the end of the course, a term paper (thesis) accompanying the course must be written.
The exchange between the participants and with the teachers is supported by a communication platform. A mentoring concept accompanies the scientific training program. After successfully completing the certificate course, the achievements can be credited towards the part-time master’s course in business law (LL.M.) at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. The master's program is accredited by AQAS
Successfully completed university studies (diploma, bachelor, etc.) and at least one year of qualified professional activity.
