ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The prerequisite for taking part in the "Industrial Engineering and Management" course is a university degree (preferably an engineering or technical-scientific university degree).

The course is designed in such a way that a subsequent qualified professional experience of usually not less than one year is also required.

Applicants from courses of study with fewer than 210 credits can fill up their missing credits with additional enrollments during their studies.

The study areas can also be taken as certified courses. (Information on this under “Further training”)

For foreign students : A high proficiency level of German (proven by German language test 'DSH') is required.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Industrial engineering is a synonym for system integration, for thinking in complex systems, for the holistic understanding, design and further development of company processes. An industrial engineer deals with the analysis, improvement and management of an integrated system of personnel, material, finances, facilities and information, taking into account social and legal framework conditions. The word 'industrial' is misleading insofar as it by no means only means production, but also includes services.

The master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management imparts skills for integrating human, social, technological, economic and ecological resources in order to optimize production processes, products and services.

An Industrial Engineering and Management Master’s integrated management orientation opens up both a technical and a management career.

In addition to industrial engineering, professional fields of employment in Germany and abroad also lie in the classic area of ??production planning and control in process optimization, project planning and project management, in product management, support and quality management as well as the maintenance of production facilities. The activity is strongly characterized by communication in the company.
