Overview

The "Management [Construction Real Estate Infrastructure] course is completed after four semesters of standard study time with the academic degree" Master of Science "(M.Sc.). It is aimed at those who have already obtained their first professional university degree in the fields of construction, real estate management or industrial engineering and would like to further develop their specialist and methodological skills in the areas of construction, real estate and infrastructure.

The course combines content from architecture and civil engineering with management know-how. In addition to technical knowledge in the disciplines of construction, economics and law, social skills for personal development are taught. The focus of the course is project studies, ie the practical processing of specific questions in interdisciplinary teams. Due to the flexible design of the course, courses from the entire wide range of the Faculty of Civil Engineering can also be taken, such as from the areas of urban energy systems, urban water management, transport system planning or structural engineering. In this way, an alignment that matches your personal profile can be guaranteed.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

At the beginning of their studies, in addition to the technical basics, they also complete elective modules (FWP) from the fields of construction, real estate and infrastructure. In the compulsory elective area, you can choose from the full range of courses offered by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. With coordinated timetables and recommended elective modules, the course management provides you with a wide range of tools for planning your studies at the start of the semester. More information about the module contents can be found in the "Regulations" tab under "Module catalogs".

Graduates of the course are enabled to quickly recognize critical interfaces in project work and to be able to "manage" them across disciplines. You will train the necessary competencies during your studies in project and study work on topics of your choice. Together with the lecturers, you will work out practical problems and independently find possible solutions.

A stay abroad as part of your studies is funded, but not compulsory. We support you in getting the place you want at one of our partner universities. Credit points earned abroad can easily be credited in the elective or elective module area after prior coordination with the academic advisory service.
