Forerunner in Cancer
As a forerunner in the state of Tamilnadu, the Positron Emission Tomography/Computer Tomography (PET/CT) was deployed by Dr.Kamakshi Memorial Hospital in ADYAR Cancer Institute inaugurated by the then finance minister of the state honourable Thiru. Professor. K. Anbazhagan. In parallel, the first renal transplant surgery was performed successfully during May 2008.
