They are able to plan and evaluate small sub-processes of political didactic research projects on the basis of learning theories and the results of political didactic teaching and learning research. In relation to the practice of political education, the students know the concepts and conditions for planning such. In doing so, they take into account various aspects of diversity (including migration, gender, disability, sexual orientation) and strategies for dealing with heterogeneity. They largely have the competence to make well-founded planning decisions and to design professional learning environments in a multi-perspective manner that is appropriate for the target group. You can exemplify subject-specific teaching and learning processes, student and problem-oriented as well as controversial,

In addition to teaching at schools, there are other fields of activity: Political scientists analyze the political, legal, social and economic system of the Federal Republic, the international relations of states or associations and the respective historical bases. This also includes an examination of the institutions, organizations and processes of political decision-making. They also consider political theory and philosophy in their historical context and with regard to constitutional and economic foundations. Political scientists with university degrees find employment opportunities at political science institutes of universities, in public administration, in specialist editorial offices of daily newspapers or publishers as well as in radio and television companies. Political institutions such as the German Bundestag and the state parliaments are also potential employers. They also work for political parties, party-affiliated foundations, trade unions and associations. They can also be active in the field of political education, for example at adult education centers. Other fields of activity are development cooperation organizations and PR agencies that focus on political communication. Political scientists are sometimes entrusted with press and public relations tasks in commercial enterprises. Non-governmental and international organizations are also potential employers.

In addition, the other subject can also open up further opportunities with regard to the occupational profile and career opportunities.
