The university certificate at the master’s level is aimed at professionals who already have a first university degree and want to acquire additional business management know-how in an international context.
After successfully completing the "International Project Management" certificate, the participants have in-depth knowledge of the management of projects that are characterized by spatial, temporal and cultural distance. You can lead an international project team and have the intercultural competence to handle international projects successfully.
After successfully completing the certificate course, the achievements can be credited towards the part-time master’s course in General Management (MBA) at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.


The university certificate includes attendance of 16 event hours (spread over three Saturdays). The certificate course is completed when the performance assessment (written exam) is passed.

  • Planning international projects: resources and tools
  • Management and organization of international projects
  • Project controlling in the international field of action
  • International project manager
  • Management aids for international projects: tools and templates


First professional university degree (at least 180 credit points) as well as professional experience after completing the course of 12 months.
Knowledge of English at level B2 is recommended.


Project managers and project staff as well as (prospective) managers of regional companies that operate internationally.
