The Bachelor's degree in Business Psychology is a first professional university degree. It provides you with technical, methodological and social skills for successful action in a variety of business psychological fields of application. It directs your attention to employees and executives in companies and authorities, to consumers and customers of products and services, to citizens, taxpayers and recipients of government benefits. You learn to understand human behavior in these economic contexts and to influence it effectively.

The course is interdisciplinary and conveys both business psychological and business skills.

The focus of the first two semesters is on acquiring basic knowledge of psychology, economics, business administration and law. In the third and fourth semester, business psychological application areas are taught, in particular work and organizational psychology as well as diagnostics and evaluation, market and advertising psychology as well as market research and, last but not least, the psychology of macroeconomic processes.

In the fourth semester you can choose one of the business specializations “Personnel and Organization” or “Marketing”, which you continue in the fifth semester by individually choosing several modules. In addition, in the fifth semester you work on a project in supervised small groups that is carried out in cooperation with one of our operational partners or that bundles the current interests of our economic environment. At the beginning of the sixth semester, there is a three-month practical phase in a company or other suitable organization in which you can apply the skills you have acquired. You then complete your studies with a two-month bachelor thesis.

You have the option of completing a semester at one of the partner universities in the business department. Studying abroad gives you the opportunity to deal more intensively with the economic psychological perspectives of other countries and to deepen your own foreign language skills. Studying abroad can be funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the European Commission with partial grants.
