The increasing legalization of all areas of society requires companies to include legal requirements and risks when making economic decisions. The aim of the seven-semester course is to train employees who have knowledge of both legal and business subjects. A well-founded legal and economic education with a focus on operational needs is imparted. Graduates are able to work with appropriate scientific methods and can be used in practice at the interfaces between business and law. The degree entitles to further qualification within the framework of master’s courses.

The basic legal and economic subjects are taught in the first three semesters. In the legal area, the curriculum includes private law, public law and European law content. The mediation takes place predominantly in lectures, the examinations usually consist of written exams. In most legal subjects, the lectures are accompanied by exercises in small groups, in which the legal working method is learned intensively. From the fourth semester onwards, students have the opportunity to undertake a moderate degree of specialization.
