Graduates of the Mechatronics / Automation course increase their performance by combining elements from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science in the development and production of technical systems.

The engineers put complex technical systems into operation and ensure their maintenance and improvement. In the practical modules, they apply their theoretical knowledge to
current tasks in the company. The training is rounded off by reliable project management and successful teamwork.

In the practice-integrated bachelor's degree in Mechatronics / Automation, practical phases in the company (eleven weeks) alternate with theoretical phases at the university (twelve weeks).

The students prepare for the theoretical phases during the practical phases with the help of didactically prepared study letters. The modules guarantee a balanced and application-oriented basic training in the field of mechatronics / automation. Interdisciplinary work is promoted through networked learning. In three practical modules and as part of the bachelor thesis, the students carry out practical projects in which they combine theoretical knowledge with current tasks from operational practice.
