The Bachelor’s degree in Design has four independent fields of study: Digital media and experiment, photography and visual media, communication design, fashion.

The course can be completed in one field of study or can be made broader and more interdisciplinary by assigning subjects in the other fields of study. In doing so, sensual phenomena from society, art and culture are reflected and incorporated into the creative work: imaginative concepts with contemporary issues, artistic and applied design with an independent approach and implementation with profound knowledge of the material and technology are created. The course is rounded off by theoretical reflection and academic writing on design topics.

Through cooperation with cultural and economic institutions and through public events such as lectures, exhibitions, symposia, fashion shows and the factory show, the department opens up to the outside world and becomes a lively arena for a varied study life.

Through studying abroad or internship, through excursions and international events, the students come into contact with other universities, agencies, studios and companies from Germany and abroad. In this way, they can gather a wealth of knowledge in order to be well equipped to start a diverse professional field

Building on your training in health care, you will receive a first academic degree with a Bachelor of Health. During your studies you will learn to reflect your professional behavior critically and constructively against the background of relevant concepts, models and theories and thus professionalise your professional behavior. From the fifth semester onwards, choose one of the following specializations:

  • Recognition of professional training (up to five modules)

The bachelor's degree program integrates two practical phases. In the initial phase, the students explore health care facilities using the method of research-based learning as part of the “orienting, practice-oriented studies”. As part of the “practice-related project studies” towards the end of their studies, students carry out their own projects. All health care institutions as well as educational or research institutions related to health professions can be considered as practice partners.
