The course is modular. The imparting of sound business law and social science knowledge and skills takes place in seminars in small groups. Lecture and discussion alternate in a methodologically meaningful way. Exercise events serve to deepen knowledge using practical methods and techniques.

In addition to events that are geared towards a specialist area, such as B. Business and corporate law or marketing, cross-sectional seminars such as corporate management / communication or business process modeling make an important contribution to experiencing and shaping interdisciplinary work in project groups.

The teams often benefit from the different experience backgrounds that the individual participants have from their original specialist areas. Different perspectives lead to synergy effects and new interesting ideas.

During the course of studies, examinations must be taken in all modules. In the second semester of the curriculum, you can choose between various compulsory elective subjects, which serve to deepen the knowledge acquired so far in the sense of an additional focus.

The additional qualification in industrial engineering / project management conveys important knowledge and skills that often only play a subordinate role in pure engineering training, but are becoming increasingly important for a successful career.

The curriculum is based on the demanding technical and economic fields of activity in companies and administration as well as the requirements of starting a business.

The main topic of project management is not only represented by its own module, but is also included in other courses on the type of teaching and the acquisition of specialist content.

Project work in the context of case studies from company practice is of great importance. The students are enabled to think interdisciplinary and to find appropriate solutions together in a team and thus to pursue a project-oriented management approach.

Based on the bachelor's degree, scientific working methods are deepened and further developed.

  • Graduates of study programs with a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific or technical field of study are admitted. You have to prove 60 CP in technical or scientific basics.
  • The dean of Faculty I of the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin decides on the suitability of comparable previous education (e.g. diploma courses)
  • For the master’s course, knowledge of English is required, which allows students to follow the course offerings and, if necessary, to take exams in English.

Modern corporate practice is increasingly characterized by increasingly complex tasks, the solution of which is only possible with interdisciplinary teams.

In many areas that are typically occupied by engineers, commercial and social skills as well as networked thinking and acting in project-oriented structures are gaining in importance.

Technical problems are solved in interdisciplinary working groups and with the inclusion of business management expertise. The application of fundamental methods of project management also contributes significantly to success in the technical area.

Management functions are increasingly being taken on in the engineering sector. This applies very much, for example, in research and development, in the planning of objects, in production preparation, in management functions or in management consultancies and in the service sector.

After completing their studies, graduates of the master’s degree in industrial engineering / project management should be able to contribute their skills at the interfaces between economic and technical issues such as those found in logistics, controlling and the management of IT projects, for example.

The master’s degree is based on the many years of expertise of the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin as a location for practical teaching and application-oriented research for applied engineering, natural sciences and economics. The students are specifically prepared for the new requirements of engineering practice and have excellent career prospects.

You will be given the tools to later be able to take on management responsibility in the company and also to be able to work on interdisciplinary tasks, especially in the combination of engineering disciplines and economic thinking and acting, independently and with a high level of expertise.

The graduates acquire qualifications for higher service. A qualified degree also entitles you to pursue a doctorate at German and international universities.
