In the first two semesters of study, in-depth civil engineering, business and social science knowledge as well as the basics of modeling and system simulation are imparted. There is a focus on strategic areas of responsibility in companies and on construction-related issues that are of particular importance for an increasingly cross-company, international cooperation.

Students have the opportunity to deepen their skills according to their own inclinations via elective modules.

The courses at the Beuth University are held in small groups according to the seminar principle: lecture and discussion alternate in a pedagogically meaningful way.

Exercises serve to deepen the subject matter and convey practical methods and procedures. For IT-oriented subjects, appropriately equipped workplaces are available for the exercises.

The third semester includes the final exam. This consists of the preparation of a theoretical or practice-oriented thesis, an accompanying final seminar and a colloquium.


The high degree of practical relevance of the course is achieved by conveying the learning material in the form of seminars, exercises and case studies as well as project work on practice-oriented topics and, if necessary, by preparing a thesis based on a practical problem.

Graduates prove that they can work on a practical task through the targeted use of scientific methods and procedures and complete them on time. 


Cooperation projects and business-related transfer activities guarantee an innovative research culture that provides decisive impulses for practice-oriented and successful teaching at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.

The cooperation of research and development projects with international research institutions and partners from the economy ensures the transnational competitiveness of research.

Research is carried out on almost all relevant subject areas from economics and social sciences, as well as from the various areas of civil engineering, in Faculties I and III of the Beuth University, which are primarily involved.

The accredited master’s degree in industrial engineering / construction technology and management builds on the content of the bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering / construction.

The degree enables graduates to perform management tasks in companies that are active in international markets and require highly qualified management staff for this.

The aim of the course is an intensive deepening of knowledge and an expansion of application-related research, development, planning and implementation skills as well as the significant further development of skills for management tasks. This creates the best prerequisites for a qualified and inclined entry into professional positions with high development potential.

The demanding consecutive training opens up a wide range of fields of activity for the graduates in responsible and managerial positions in the construction industry, in project management companies and construction companies, but also in industry, trade and service companies, in which both business and construction knowledge and the ability to interdisciplinary , interdisciplinary thinking are required.

The majority of industrial engineers work in the areas of project management, project development, sales and marketing as well as controlling.

Graduates will also find interesting fields of activity in professional associations, technical monitoring associations and in the public sector (building authorities) and as management consultants in service companies.
